The P.O. box

Your first address for early delivery

If you make a P.O. box your first address, priority items will be delivered to it by the time counters open. That way, you have all the information you need when you start work in the morning. You can also collect your mail when it suits you best and your mail is protected from theft.

Opening a P.O. box

If you would like to open a P.O. box, contact your post office. There you can obtain a P.O. box form which you just need to fill in and submit. You will then receive a duplicate and our General Terms and Conditions (GTC). Your P.O. box will be opened shortly afterwards.

Prices and terms

In addition to use of the P.O. box, you'll also be given four keys free of charge. If you need additional copies, we'll charge CHF 20 per key.

Please note that we can strictly only provide one P.O. box per addressee. The post office responsible will decide on the allocation. In principle, a P.O. box is only provided in a post office at your place of domicile.

Supplementary provisions

The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (seco) and the Swiss Commission for Fairness have issued supplementary provisions on the use of P.O. boxes for commercial purposes entitled "Stopp dem Postfachmissbrauch" (Stop P.O. box misuse).
