Truck driver

We operate one of the most modern transport systems in the world. As a truck driver, you will transport goods in trucks, delivering reliably and on time throughout Switzerland. You will become familiar with the transport regulations and will load goods for transportation and carry out any necessary minor repairs to vehicles on your own. You will work closely with our customers and suppliers.

Requirements:

• Secondary/college student/year 10 and above
• Min. 16½ years old
• Reliable, responsible
• Genuine interest in being around other people
• Good with hands
• Physically fit
• Prepared to work irregular hours

Duration:

3 years

Location:

Basel, Bellinzona, Berne, Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano, Lucerne and Zurich

Training:

• 1st year: Get to know and repair different types of vehicle
• 2^nd year: Driving school
• 3d year: Transport goods independently

Vocational school:

You will attend commercial/industrial vocational school one day a week. You can complete your studies at a vocational secondary school during your basic training or during an additional year following the completion of your apprenticeship.
