Conditions for cash on delivery (COD) solutions

Things to note

Certain conditions must be met to ensure that your dispatch orders with cash on delivery (COD) can be processed correctly. The most important requirements at a glance:

Labelling

Mark your letters with "cash on delivery" above the address and add the COD amount.

Mailing

Letters with the additional COD service are given an item barcode, an additional service barcode and a COD payment form (412.51). These documents are available at any post office. You can also obtain them online at the DocuCenter.

When you mail your items, you will receive proof of posting with a consignment number. Thanks to Track & Trace, you have round-the-clock access to all the information and data you need on the delivery status of your items.

Acceptance points

  • Post offices and business customer counters
  • For larger volumes: letter centres and logistics centres for letter processing
